I am very grateful to the Vesinet Twinning Committee for allowing me to make this exchange. I was able to have a great summer with my (correspondent). It was a very emotional summer for me, I met Eric Powers who lives in Oakwood, Ohio.

I had a wonderful time with him during our six weeks of exchanges.

Indeed, he came to France for three weeks from July to mid-August, we flew together and I stayed with him for three weeks. In three weeks, I was able to show him around Paris, take him to the kart, the escape game, the La Défense cinema several times, the Asterix amusement park, and we also went to Normandy for the last weekend.

Revisiting the biggest places in Paris was very interesting for me because I hadn’t seen them in a long time. We loved visiting the Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay, the Château de Versailles and many other places.

In the United States, we were also able to visit the art museum in Oakwood, the Cincinnati Zoo, but we mostly walked in the many parks and the great forest of Oakwood.

I loved our trip to Canada. I spent 10 days on Eric’s grandmother’s island in Canada. The scenery was beautiful and we had a great time.

In any case, I had a great time with Eric and we intend to stay in touch to see each other again soon!

Thanks to this exchange, I was able to experience Eric’s American habits. I met his friends, family friends and I was even able to attend a concert organized by the people of Oakwood where I was able to talk to a lot of people.

This exchange allowed me to be more comfortable in English orally. I have gained vocabulary and fluency in my language.

I thank again the committee and the Powers, a family that welcomed me so well to this city I love, Oakwood.
